From 8 to 11 December 2022, the European Championship of the World Kettlebell Sport Federation (WKSF) took place in Rzeszów, Poland. Germany was represented by one athlete, who won gold in his class.
Gold for Germany
The German participant secured the gold medal in biathlon in the masters amateur class up to 87 kg body weight.
Four days of kettlebell sport
Poland, Italy and Ukraine fielded the largest teams. The official weigh-in began at 5 p.m. on Thursday, followed at 8 p.m. by the opening ceremony of the participating nations.
From Friday to Sunday, the athletes delivered high-level performances. In addition to the sporting competition, the event was characterised by mutual support: participants cheered each other on across national borders.

Good conditions and strong organisation
The competition hall had the equipment needed for an international championship. A local reporter and television team covered the event on site.
The Polish organising team and the WKSF ensured well-structured proceedings. The sporting performances, the hospitality and the friendly exchange between the teams will be remembered.
