Around 45 athletes competed in the second Open South-West German Championship in Hoppstädten-Weiersbach on 30 September 2023.
A diverse field of participants
Stolberger Turngemeinde was strongly represented in the youth category with a group of Ukrainian young people. The youngest participants were eleven to twelve years old and competed with 4 kg kettlebells.
In addition to athletes from all over Germany, a group travelled from Switzerland. They competed in both the amateur and professional classes.
Family atmosphere and mutual support
Young or old, beginner or pro: everyone was cheered on and motivated. Alongside the sporting performances, the focus was on exchange within the kettlebell community.
At the award ceremony, all participants received a certificate and a medal.
