35 athletes took part in the open NRW Championship in Stolberg on 17 May 2025. The BVDKS and Stolberger Turngemeinde organised the competition in the Atsch multi-purpose hall, which hosted the event for the second time.
Young talent and sporting highlights
Stolberger Turngemeinde entered nine athletes. The youngest participant was eight years old and competed in the biathlon with a 4 kg kettlebell. The other children and young people from STG also delivered strong performances.
In the half marathon one arm long cycle with 16 kg, a female athlete achieved more repetitions than the male participants in her flight. In the penultimate flight, Vadim Sichwardt came out on top in the pro snatch with the highest score.
A family-style day of competition
Familiar and new faces came together. The audience cheered on the participants during the flights and contributed to the consistently good atmosphere.
At the final award ceremony, all athletes received a certificate and a medal.
